Environment

At ITW Reagents, we are strongly committed to protecting the environment and preserving our surroundings. Consequently, we follow a strict environmental responsibility policy and comply with all legal requirements to ensure that our activities have minimal impact on nature.
Guided by the ITW Group’s principles of conduct, we continuously monitor the entire lifecycle of our products as well as the legal compliance of our suppliers. This is ensured through regular audits and certification under the Environmental Standard ISO 14001:2004. Moreover, our commitment to sustainability was recognized in July 2024 with the ECOVADIS Bronze Medal, one of the leading international assessments in corporate social responsibility and environmental management.
Many of our products are hazardous to both health and the environment, and it is essential to be aware of the risks associated with their handling. Appropriate working methods must be adopted, with particular attention paid to safety pictograms and the detailed information provided in the safety data sheets, including aspects such as waste management, first aid, and physicochemical properties—all of which are extremely helpful when handling these products.
Hazardous substance waste and the packaging that contained them are classified as special waste and must be delivered to an authorized waste manager. Care must be taken to ensure that such products do not reach the sewage system, and in the event of accidental spillage, fire, or uncontrolled gas emissions, the competent authority must be notified immediately to minimize environmental impact.
We also provide advice to customers who may have questions or difficulties regarding the handling of production waste or who need information on how to act in the event of an emergency.

Safety

We are concerned about the wellbeing of our workers and are committed to the continuous improvement in the workplace. Therefore, at the ITW Reagents division, we have a strict occupational risk prevention and industrial safety policy, and we comply with all legal requirements. Based on the ITW Group behaviour principles, we constantly work on eliminating risk situations to achieve and maintain a zero accident rate, and to maintain and improve the highest security standards implemented. We ensure compliance of all this through our own Occupational Risk Prevention Service, regular audits and the certification of the ISO 45001:2018 for health and safety (OH&S) management. We offer advice to customers who have doubts about how to handle the products they sell.

Social Investments

ITW Reagents lays great emphasis on a responsible relationship with social and educational institutions in the region. In close cooperation with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce we always aim to reintegrate individuals from all kinds of social backgrounds into work-life. Social commitment has always been practised by ITW and is defined in the Corporate Guidelines.
